Ah boy's smashing birthday party - updates!

We arranged for a birthday party at MacDonald's! I was the 1st to arrive at the restaurant.. at the main entrance, I could already see his big name on the wall. I took a peep at the party room and almost burst out laughing, cos the chairs were so tiny! Like those we sat on in nursery class...

When all my other colleagues arrived with the birthday boy, we were kinda embarrassed cos we adults were going for a kiddy birthday package. But soon, all of us got into the mood and it was really fun! We were split into 2 groups for games and each group tried to sabo each other... and we had prizes! I started talking kiddishly and my colleague almost wanted to slap me.. hahaha! When the food came, the party host asked "Have you all washed your hands"? Everyone was treated as 12 years old kids during that 2 hours!

The Ronald cake was surprisingly tasty! We distributed half the cake and the other half was left for sabotage! We hid candles inside the cake and asked the birthday boy to dig them out using only his mouth. The party host also gave each of us a water gun and half the group went crazy! Loaded the gun with water and started spraying at everybody... we really behaved like kids lah!

Poor Ah boy... finally got the candle out!

Time really flies. It is already December and soon, we are stepping into another brand new year.

December 2007 was a terrible time for me. Instead of all the festive fun and partying, I was depressed and upset, hiding at home...

This year, it will be totally different! I am really looking forward... The next few weeks should be filled with fun, fun and more fun!

Upcoming events:
Steamboat gathering with the 4e1 peeps
Ah boy's birthday
Pauline's ROM
JC mate's wedding
Family chalet
Kent's birthday
Pre-xmas dinner with the gals from Korea trip

I shall update after all those events! Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, just a short preview on ah boy's birthday celebration. I am excited as we are planning to hold ah boy's birthday party at this particular place. I have never been to celebrate any birthdays there. I know its popular but not THAT popular! I've called up 2 outlets and they are either fully booked or the timing does not fit our schedule. Pinning my hopes on the last outlet, which I am calling tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I quote everyone who have used this phrase before - "I'm here to clear the cobwebs".

I've been really lazy to update my blog and there are not many interesting matters I wanna share. The things I have to rant about is about work and that bunch of morons, so why bother wasting my time and energy to blog about them?

The only good change about me during this period of absence is probably my attempt to get fit? Haha. I went for the GE Women's Run sometime back in October and recently, went for a 1 week fitness class trial. Tried yoga, pilates and another class known as body rolling and foot fitness. Every class was tough and I can feel my muscles trembling!!

But this attempt is probably going to fail as I was also on a feasting spree! Not forgetting becoming alcoholic! Colleague and his friend brought me and another colleague to places for nice food... we had Arnold's fried chicken (better than KFC) at City Plaza followed by durians at Joo Chiat, Yong tau foo and cheesecake at Siglap, fish soup at Harbourfront.. next on the menu is supposedly the best fried rice in town at Chinatown! How to maintain the figure like that?!

Anyway, I finally met up with the republicans last saturday! Have not seen them for half a semester? Dinner at Manhatten's and chilled out at Alley Bar.. cool! except for the 'puke smell' at Alley Bar, so anti-climax...

Aint these artistic shots?

You are The Tower

Ambition, fighting, war, courage. Destruction, danger, fall, ruin.

The Tower represents war, destruction, but also spiritual renewal. Plans are disrupted. Your views and ideas will change as a result.

The Tower is a card about war, a war between the structures of lies and the lightning flash of truth. The Tower stands for "false concepts and institutions that we take for real." You have been shaken up; blinded by a shocking revelation. It sometimes takes that to see a truth that one refuses to see. Or to bring down beliefs that are so well constructed. What's most important to remember is that the tearing down of this structure, however painful, makes room for something new to be built.

What Tarot Card are You?

Working life has gotten a little depressing lately. Many of my close colleagues are leaving the company and it is really sad. People come and go; it's a common thing but I am the sort who feels emotional attachment to many things... sigh... silly..

1st on the list for the month - Mr Leng. He has been a big brother to me all this while, sharing a lot of his viewpoints on life and I've learnt a lot from him. I am really sad to see him leave. One less person to call me 'mei nu'... hahaha! Ignore the previous sentence... but really, he always calls me that!

Us @Crystal Jade, Holland Village

A few more resignees on the list.. what a depressing month! Looking at the potential candidates, it is going to be a challenge to adapt to the new colleagues...

Anyway, I took a day off 2 days back to meet up with the sec school bestie. It had been an eventful day! We went for hi-tea @Goodwood Park Hotel and I really enjoyed the pot of tea I had. So english-style and we felt like tai-tais!

After gorging all that food, we met up with another friend, Jos, @Super Famous. I like this place - a chill out place in the CBD area but like middle of nowhere. The best thing is, I haven not seen Jos for like 2 years already so really glad to spend some time together that day. In addition, the champagne mimosa I had was lovely! I am officially in love with Mimosa!!

We continued the night with drinks & jazz @St James... cannot believe right? Ms 'Tang Dynasty' finally willing to go to St James. We didn't need to pay cover charge that night and martinis were 1-for-1 with UOB cards! What a deal! We listened to the jazz band playing in the Bellini Room and Tuesdays are their Comedy nights. The lead singer cracked some jokes which were really entertaining and we laughed so hard. Interesting day and gotta thank Tiffi lots for the company!
