Last weekend was wonderful... have been wanting to blog about it but kept on pushing it away... well, the mood is here today so i shall blog.... hee hee
Has been a long time since the whole family went out for breakfast on a sunday morning. Usually it would be my parents who buy breakfast for us after their 'marketing', and my bros and i would still be asleep when they are back... then my mum would nag and nag until we wake up. Since it is the sch hols now, i suggested to my bros to wake up early and go for breakfast with my parents. (Actually i had a craving for dim sum... haha.. )
Hence, we went to Thomson Road for dim sum breakfast on sunday morning... prawn dumplings, century egg porridge, carrot cake, siew mai, yam pastry.... yummy yummy! After that, we drove to AMK to do some 'marketing'. When we returned home, it was only 10.30am! Amazing... usually i will still be in la-la land at this time...
As my dad won a Isetan voucher the day before at his company's annual dinner, we decided to go shopping. While waiting for my mum to do some household chores before going out, my bros and i played this board game called 'Rat-race'. My bro picked it up from somewhere... haha... he's like a garang guni... the game is actually the older version (real old... 1984) of the 'Rat-race' we know of now. Really fun game... something like monopoly, where all of us start off with some money and a few businesses. Then all of the players will be in the working class and have to try to be the 1st to move up the social ladder to the middle, then the high class. Or one can move up the social class by marrying someone of the higher status. But if one lands on the 'divorce' square, one has to pay alimony fees and move down one social class. Interesting ah...
Finally its time to go out... yeah! We went to Sembawang Shopping Centre instead of going to town in the end. Dad dreads driving to such crowded places so we didnt go to Isetan afterall.
After shopping, we went to my uncle's place which was very near the shopping centre. Finally i got to see my 2 weeks' old little cousin... she's so small and cute. Proceeded to my grandma's place after that... its a weekly thing, to gather at my grandma's place every sunday. This week was a little different. My aunt bought tix to this block party thingy, so we all went down for it. Watched a magic show (i think its the same magician at Metta school camp last year) , had buffet and..... i won a prize at the lucky draw! Haha... lady luck smiling on me... though its only a 10 bucks ntuc voucher, i guess its better than nothing. =D
Later at night, when i went online to check my email, i got a surprise! Vincent Ng replied my email!! He replied once before but this time round, i wasnt expecting a reply, so i was pretty surprised. I commented on his role in the current 9pm drama and also congratulated him for getting nominated in top 10 male artiste for Star Awards. He said he was not very confident of this role as it is the 1st time he is taking on such a role. He was very cute, thanked me for wishing him good luck for the awards and he said he hoped to win something this year. Thus he added, 'remember to vote for me.. :p hahaha...' His email made a beautiful end to my sunday. =)
