An emotional day for me... LAST day of attachment! 10 weeks passed just like that, can you believe it?! Last day of work and i didn't see Mr G at the train station! Oh my, i was so depressed! I can imagine you people who are reading this would be cursing and swearing at me... i know i still would be able to see him around on campus (if i'm lucky...) but still... i purposely dressed up despite it being dress-down day, in the hope of bumping into him for the last time at Raffles! I was totally disappointed!
Anyway, Yongfei (one of the staff from Actuarial dept whom i met during a training program) lighted up my day a little... met him in the lift and he was very gentleman. Allowed me to enter the lift first then he took off his earpiece and chat with me, wished me all the best after knowing today was my last day. Felt that my presence was actually noticed by people around me... even though i don't see some of them often, i'm very consoled knowing that the staff won't 'dismiss' us interns, thinking that we are just around for a few months, not worth to keep in contact with or to be nice to.
Had another farewell lunch today.. a treat from Siew Lee and Amy... korean food at Caltex House... Doreen was on mc today, so didn't get to say any parting words to her... so depressing! I bought some farewell gifts for my direct supervisors and manager, and both SiewLin and i shared fruit tarts from Polar for the rest of the colleagues. They said we are too 'ke qi' and shouldn't have gone to the expense. My manager even said she was paiseh to accept my gift as she didn't really take good care of me during this period. Aiyo, i almost cried when she said all these to me... so touching...
