Aww~~ Derrick has been eliminated from the 3rd semi-finals of Project Superstar....
I cried like an overaged baby when they announced the results... the entire evening was a nerve-wrecking for me, especially the last 30 mins before the results show. The worst scenario has happened... the miracle i prayed for did not appear.
Derrick was very strong (not the 'ruo xiao nan hai' he claimed to be...) Put on a strong front and also presented a beautiful and touching parting song 'Hen Xiang Ni'. He even bowed to the audience after that... that is how sincere he is. But after all, he is a human being... his voice got choky when he thanked his family for supporting him... this part, my heart really went all out to him... i cried even more...
I boycott Project Superstar from this moment on... no longer holds any meaning to me anymore... thought i could watch him perform with a live band, but well... i might still watch, to see how wrong it is to kick Derrick out of the competition!
I didn't regret spending that dumb 3 bucks to download a National day MMS to gain entry to the priority area at Concert by the bay and i didn't regret spending unneccesary money voting for him... at least i did what i could to show my support and didn't wait till he's out of the game and start to regret...
Derrick has the potential... i strongly feel so... he can sing well even without a music teacher (That Jason goes to a music school and still sings like $@#%.. alamak!) ... i have faith that Derrick can do even better than Junyang if he goes for proper training after his NS and polish his 'yao zi'. Hope he will be given a contract or a chance to release an album. I'll be contented even if it is a single. Record companies, please sign him up! Pretty please....
Derrick, don't feel dejected... winning is not all... take this failure as a lesson and experience... though you cannot perform on stage in the near future, i can confidently say that you have gained for yourself 3 faithful fans (e3!).
