Just some random thoughts for today:
Was reading xiao-mei's blog... really touched by her post... i don't know why but when i read her entries for today, i almost cried... maybe i feel the way as she did towards our parents... anyway, here's a part of her entry in which she thanked me!! ...
"I felt that i needed to thank a few ppl...for their words of encouragement b4, during, and after the prelims...i shld list down those tat i can remember...hope i din leave anyone out...although i noe tat most of those in the list don't read my blog but still muz thank..in no particular order...here goes...
Shu Yi: da sao...i didn't forget you..i realli realli realli realli need to thank you oso...and thank you veri much!!!!!!!!! thank you for all those words of encouragement b4, during and after my prelims..thanks for caring so much for me...realli..to others our frenship might juz belong to the status : online frens, but i noe our frenship has evolved to more den juz tat...thanks for letting me noe tat i still haf someone to turn to when i need it..i realli realli realli thank you so much!!!!"
Dear ger, i am glad that i'm one of those whom you turn to when you need help... and i do hope you find my advice/encouragement useful... as long as you don't find me naggy!! You and PS always say i very naggy, like lao tai po... but seriously, i agree that our friendship is way way beyond online friends... e4 rocks forever, right?!
I think i need to file a police report to search for a missing person - my project mate, Miss S. She has been 'missing' since 5-7 weeks ago!!! I think out of 10 weeks of school, i see her only less than 10 times in class!!! Whenever we send emails or sms regarding project meetings, project matters, she don't reply us... we don't even know whether she has read and followed our project progress... oh yah, we also called her on her mobile like a hundred times but as usual, she did not pick up the calls... every one of us in the team has tried to contact her but to no avail... we wanted very much to have a talk with her, find out if she is facing any personal problems.. but how to go about doing it when we can't even get hold of her?!
The only time we got hold of her was sometime last week... jo used her home phone to call and managed to speak to her.... she sounded very sick... and she said she saw all our calls and sms-es... THEN?! Keep all the missed calls and sms-es in her phone as remembrance ah?! Even if she is super ill or has some personal problems to attend to, she should at least return our calls and inform us that she can't make it for our meetings etc... We are more worried about what have happened to her now instead of her contribution towards the project... but now, i really have to worry about the project cos the presentation is next thursday!!
We had no choice but to inform Cheryl this afternoon... we asked if she had any news of Miss S... but Cheryl had no idea as well cos the school system do not require tutors to take attendance anymore... so did we do the right thing? We have tried all possible means of contacting her already (last resort is to go to her doorstep!!) before 'telling tale' to Cheryl... so i guess we have given her enough chance... at least we did not wait till the peer evaluation at the end of the course and give her a low rating... i think we have been very merciful liao...
My learning point: You will always meet difficult people no matter where you go... sometimes you try to be nice and take in people without group into your team, end up bringing problems for yourself... haiz... but then again, in the real world, we can't choose who we want to work with.. the boss assign you to work with A, you have to work with A... so this is a good learning experience for me and my team... learn to cope and handle such problems...
Oh yah, just found out that my best buddy is captain of her hall's boggle team!! Yeah manz! I am so damn happy... cos there's a meeting for all boggle captains this sunday night... i am dreading the meeting cos i am sure i won't know the rest of the captains and it will be super awkward and boring... almost wanted to tell my rec sec that i can't make it... but luckily, Xiaomin is captain of hall 10's boggle team, so i have got company on sunday!!! yeah, next time can exchange pointers liao... must play friendly with my hall during HO ah! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
