Let me just update on what happened the last few days... basically its a full week of food, food and more food...
Tuesday:
Corporate Services gathering organized by Finance & Procurement... Sakura International Lunch Buffet at Clementi Woods... all 21 of us (excluding 2 colleagues on MC) went in 6 cars and had a great feast! There was western grill, jap sushi and sashimi, chinese dishes like tofu, dim sum and chicken rice, yummy cheesecakes and mochi... shiok!
Our CS director was expecting us to be bonding with one another but i guess everyone was busy gobbling the wide spread of food available! I recommend you guys to try out this place.. really value for money... its $20 nett for lunch on weekdays...
Initially i was a little sian about this gathering cos expensive, on own expenses leh... but fortunately, our managers were nice enough to subsidize! End up all the non-managerial staff paid only $13... muahahah!
Wednesday:
Nothing much at work, very routine... i had to lunch in today but A & L were so sweet, bought me peanut ah balling in almond milk from ghim moh market!~ Yums... felt so sinful, got my senior to share with me... CS director walked past us and saw us eating and started to ask if we didn't had enough at yesterday's buffet! Wahaha... we are so greedy!~
Thursday:
Super heavy downpour in the morning... gosh, almost wanted to take cab to work! In the end, i got put off by the steep price and struggled my way to work, trying as best not to get wet...
L striked a tiny amount in 4D and she treated A and me to dessert after lunch! Hee... so nice of her to share her joy with us.. saw one of the IT guys on the shuttle bus back to office and he was commenting that i really know how to enjoy, still have dessert after lunch... told him i bought walnut cream, asked him to remember so that he knows what to treat me in future... keke.. i'm so bad!
Then there was the weekly chalktalk meeting among the scientists... pizza and beer provided! As usual, there was leftovers for us... wahaha! Food again... see see, how NOT to get fat?!
Friday:
My 1st day as a permanent staff and i was late for work! Wahaha... what good impression huh... Wong passed me a form which required me to take a photo at the JTC Security office for my staff pass... think i will look horrible... anyway, Lewis from IT remembered that he promised me a new desktop after i convert to perm... yeah, getting a new pc soon! =)
Its Teachers Day! Sent an sms to Ms Chew, my GP tutor in JC... found out she's still stationed at MOE so made a lunch appointment with her next week! Whee~
Look what my dear Mr Chan did today! Wrote instructions on a piece of tissue... *faint* Went shopping after work today, with 2 'escorts' - Qicai & Ivan... looking for a gift for Mr Someone and i ended up buying a t-shirt for myself too... gosh, i'm not supposed to be spending so impulsively! Today's only the 1st of the month and almost $50 is gone...
~ My new 'Tree Root' t-shirt ~But anyway, i like the t-shirt lah... from 'Accidental Portrait' at Far East Plaza.. liked the other design too but avoided getting the same design as the one we got for the bday boy... dun wanna wear couple t-shirt with him... keke... this shop was featured in one of the channel U programs about young entrepreneurs last week... was attracted to the brand when i saw it on tv but didn't expect to patronise it so soon! The owner was rather friendly and he was from NTU, fellow NBS-mate... go take a look at his store if you happen to be at FEP in future...
And tomorrow's Saturday!! Weekends, i just love them! Going ktv with Min... yeah! Long time since we sang together...
