Handled a visit today and i like the visitor - Prof Aitman! He's so nice and friendly, very easy to engage in a conversation with him... maybe because we had email correspondence prior to his visit which made things easier... but i think he appreciated what i did for him so i was willing to go the extra mile for him...
His 1st time in Singapore and asked me for recommendations as to where he can go sight-seeing... i was stuck at that point cos i thought there is nothing nice enough in Singapore for him to visit (as compared to London, his hometown)... decided to search online while he was in a meeting... and tah dah, i prepared some history and directions guide on Chinatown and Orchard Road! His face lit up when i showed him all these, think he was happy and i was really glad!! Enjoyed being his accompanying officer and looking forward to see him again tomorrow...
To the babes who are paying for my bag >> i've collected it already!! Pay up pay up... haa... =p Anyway, just attaching a picture of it for you ladies to see.... rash decision, so comment on it! (If your money is worthwhile)
To my 2 HRC counterparts... can we confirm our attendance for the launch event? I've got SL in as well so there's 5 of us including Wai Leong... if everything is confirmed, one of us can order the tix. Let me know... Below is a paragraph that i copied from Min's blog (hope you don't mind, gal)... when i read it, i thought it depicts my feelings rather well... then Min told me part of her recent entry was for me.. see, we know each other so well...
"When a girl meets a guy who she likes, she will try out all means to get to know the person better. The feeling of knowing the guy she like better makes her feel great. She felt blessed as day passed.
Then suddenly, she found out something which she even want to know. She decided to put a stop to the feeling and stop liking him. But then, women always have this curiosity in them. She can't help but still wants to know more about him. But the more she knows, the more upset she gets.
Maybe it's the fault of curiosity that's causing her so much pain. Maybe she should start avoiding and cut out all forms of communication.
But then, can one stop the heart from liking and missing someone?"
