Here comes Part 2 of the trip...

Day 3 didn't start off as well cos we were totally shagged after 2 full days of walking, shopping, lugging bags of loot and also, we were running out of money!!

Chilling out and sipping coffee

We got approached by a Thai man when we arrived outside one of the malls. He claimed to be the manager of the shrine (outside the mall and qutie a number of people praying) and began telling us about this temple. We were pretty daring to trust him and let him hail a tuk-tuk for us to bring us to the temple and then back to the mall at only 20 baht.

Luckily, nothing bad happened and my 1st tuk-tuk experience was really fun! It really isn't as scary as the visa adverts cos we managed to stay pretty in our photos during the ride.. haha!

Our safe driver

Us on the tuk-tuk.. Still looking good enough?

Colourful taxis along the way

The temple we went to - ended up chatting with the keeper there

On the way back to the mall, the tuk-tuk driver drove us to this jewellery exporter so that he could earn some gasoline coupons. We thought just do him a favour but we ended up purchasing! Bought a pair of pearl earrings for Grandma which was just in time for her birthday!

Finally returned to the mall and had lunch at a Jap restaurant! Lighting at the restaurant was wonderful!

Went for some pampering session - did a manicure and pedicure! Truthfully speaking, it was just nail filing plus nail art. But the workmanship was perfect!

Imagine painting 3 tiny flowers on the smallest toe!

Headed to Chinatown after manicure for some birds' nest!

My loot by the end of Day 3 and time for some packing up....

Look at some of my buys! Probably only 60%.. haa! But some of it are for family, friends and colleagues, so it is not a lot ba!

Day 4 - Time to leave the Land of Smiles... and i didn't get to see that friendly security guard at the skytrain station (just next to our hotel) for the last time!

As we were reluctant to leave and but yet excited to go home, our flight was delayed and twice somemore lor! Plus we had a lot of baggage (went with 2 suitcase and back with 5 pieces in all!), ended up rotting at the seats in front of the check-in counters and waiting impatiently to check-in so that we can have dinner!!

The Land of Smiles - I will return again soon!!
